All growth is gradual, including our spiritual growth. Thankfully, our Shepherd is patient and kind (and stern when necessary!) and he leads us by the hand even when we're blind and deaf to his words. In this passage from Mark 8, we see that Christ's healing of a blind man was as much for the disciples as it was for the blind man.
