Grace and glory. We sing about these two themes during the Christmas season: "with the dawn of redeeming grace” and “Gloria in excelsis deo/Glory to God in the highest”. Glory and grace are foundational to Advent, and the reason is that they are so essential to the Gospel story. Therefore, they will be our themes today as we move forward in Ruth and what I hope we’ll see is that our salvation is all of grace, and it is glorious! It is glorious because grace redeems where the Law cannot.
