It's a good thing when grace starts to seep into the cracks of a humbled heart. That's where transformation begins, and both Joseph and his brothers needed it desperately. They needed trials to drive that transformation, they needed deprivation to drive them to action, and they needed confrontation to drive them to confession. It is only when we see that the cupboards of our hearts are empty of any real righteousness that we will turn and come humbly to Christ, the Bread of Life.
